India

Boy it was a long trip here. 
We were delayed in Charlotte for 2 hours.  Then delayed in Newark an hour.  Then Patrick gets the middle seat next to a man who decided the arm rest was all his.  Apparently he thought it was ok to cough in Patrick's face as well.
We were so tired by the time we got here.  The service has been excellent.  They seem to think we are important people or at least that is how we are being treated.  Go figure.  Stay 9 nights and you get wonderful treatment.
Patrick is impressed and we just had breakfast.  I'm content because I had my coffee.  I love coffee.  Especially in India.
Well we are doing a little sight seeing then meeting our girl for the first time today.  This is going to be a good day.  I'll post pictures later.

Almost Done...

We are in the home stretch now.  Travel plans have been made for weeks now.  We finally have Varsha's passport.  I've started packing everything.  Now to all the small details.
I need to get emergency contacts together for my MIL who is staying at our house with the kids (we are so grateful).  I also need to get Prasun's medical history together.  I have Ananya's written up.
I have documents to print.
I have a house to clean.
I have babies to love on.
I'm so going to miss them.  11 days is way too long to be gone in my opinion.  I know others have it so much worse.  6, 8 weeks.  Oh heavens.  I'd be a mess.  11 days would be easy.
We are so excited to get to finally meet Varsha.  She is so loved by so many.  We feel blessed that God is allowing us to be her parents.  It is a privilege.  We are honored.
We could us all the prayers we can get.  Her adjustment is going to be hard.  She has been loved so well in her orphanage.  We will have to walk through alot of grief with her.  Our other kids need the prayers too.  They have never been away from us this long.
So 1 week.  10 days and I get to hug my daughter that I've been loving from across the ocean for 2 long years.  10 days.

This journey is finally ending. 

Travel Plans

So we FINALLY made it to the point that we are making travel plans. Well more like I made travel plans.
We leave in 25 days. HOPEFULLY!!!
The passport still isn't issued, so we are waiting and fretting over that a bit. I don't want to dish out extra money for ticket changes.
We are leaving May 5th and will get home May 16th. It is going to be an interesting week both at home and in India.
Our kids aren't used to being away from us. I mean I go to work and Patrick is at home. If he's at work, I'm home. Now our kids will be without us for 10 days. I'm nervous. I'm sure they'll do fine though. It will fly by.
This is surreal to me. It is actually happening. We have a medical appointment. We have an embassy appointment. We have plane tickets and hotel reservations.
Now to print out the confirmations. To finish last minute paperwork. To type up Prasun's medical history. Emergency numbers. Figure out what to pack.
I know this time will breeze right by us. We'll be in India before long. Finally we will be a family of 6.
25 days to get ready.

Birthdays!!!

Tomorrow we have 2 birthdays in our house. Prasun is turning 7 and Anthony is turning 14 (how that happened is a whole other discussion. I mean my baby turning 14. Thats crazy.)
Today Prasun got his birthday pictures taken. We got some good ones.

Ananya is growing up to be such a big girl. She just turned 7 a few weeks ago. Isn't she gorgeous in her new haircut?
I can't believe that she is getting so big. Not our baby anymore.
She will sometimes play with baby dolls (though most of the time she still throws them).
She loves her big brother. They aggravate each other like crazy. Don't ask her to give either brother a kiss. You'll get a "NO".
We are so proud of the big girl she is becoming.
