New Pictures

Sorry I've been gone so long

I'm hanging around. I've actually had a lot of things rolling around in my head. I just haven't had time to put them in writing. I've been to Winston Salem 2 times and all the way to Raleigh in only 2 weeks. I've made multiple trips to other counties. Its been crazy around here.
Last Wednesday was a special day for us. January 23 was 2 years since we saw Ananya's sweet face for the first time. We are quickly approaching our first Gotcha Day and Ananya's 3rd birthday. I have to start making plans for her to get her therapies through the local school system. We have to decide if she is going to enter preschool. I can't figure that one out yet. We have therapy no 3 times a week.
We've been trucking along with home school. Anthony finished the book "A Wrinkle in Time". Soon we'll be starting "Where the Red Fern Grows".
We are waiting for the mailman today so that I can send our Dossier to the adoption agency. We'll be able to sign Prasun's acceptance paperwork as soon as that is on its way.

Funniest Thing

So I was vacuuming today and this is the face that is following me through the house. Ananya is following the vacuum cleaner through the house.
You can't really see it but I have a shop vac that is HUGE. I suck up whole toys some times. We can suck the last of the water out of the hot tub when cleaning it. I'm talking think suction like at the car wash vacuums. Well of course the thing blows air out the back of it. Ananya was following me around because it was like being in a wind tunnel.

She is so silly.

POWER 90X

OK. Yesterday was my day off because it was my birthday (and my 7th day of Power 90X). I took the day off, but was actually scheduled to do so. I was super busy with adoption things as well.
Today, I'm going to talk some about my workouts and why I think they work.
Let me start with the obvious. 6 workouts in a week. Each is a minimum of 57 minutes long. I mean how could you not lose weight. I measured myself today. I have lost almost 2 inches off my waist and 1 off my hips. Hello. It's been freakin' 6 days. The workouts are extreme.
Today I do chest and back, tomorrow plyometrics, Saturday shoulders and arms, Sunday Yoga (94 minutes :oD), Monday Legs and back, Tuesday Kempo. I have 2 more weeks of this then enter my first recovery week. I know this sounds like alot, but it is.
I'm going to finish this. All 90 days of it. I'm going to get my lifetime at Weight Watchers with this so I don't have to pay anymore.
I need to be as healthy as possible. I'm going to India to get my 3rd child. Heck, thats scarier than trying to do some pull-ups.
I was watching the Biggest Loser the other day and got so frustrated. One of the ladies up for elimination was crying about how she couldn't do this at home. HELLO! Anyone can do this at home. You don't have Gillian yelling at you or Bob pushing you. You just have to DO IT! Take some accountability. MOVE!! That's what its really about. I personally will never give up chocolate, coffee, or the occasional Olive Garden. I can make the difference up by exercising on a regular basis.
I takes a deficit of 3,500 calories to lose 1 pound. 500 calories a day and you lose 1 pound a week. I personally would rather do alot of that by working off calories with exercise. I hope that people read my words can reach a few people. I would love to see a healthier America or at least some of my friends to be healthier. Well I'm gonna run for now (not literally) and get some adoption stuff done.

Exercise

I wanted to post for the sake of accountability.
I have started exercising with Power 90X. Granted it has only been 5 days. I'm not really feeling the workout tonight. I'm going to do it anyways. Just not yet. Tomorrow I'll post more on the workout as a whole. I have to go for now.

CVS Deal

I got all this stuff at CVS for 24 out of pocket. I also got 10 back in ECB. I had to break it into 4 different orders because I would have accrued 49 in ECB. I wasn't sure I could use all those. Here is a detailed list of my buys.
2 boxes of Honeynut Cheerios (1 off 2 coupon)
6 12 packs of Pepsi products
4 cans Lysol Nutra Air (buy 1 get 1 free coupon)
2 Loreal Proviv shampoo and 2 conditioner (2 1 off 1 coupon)
2 Johnson and Johnson Buddies soap (1 off 1 coupon FREE)
1 Viactiv chewables (3 off 1 coupon)
1 Viactiv Flavorglides (2 off 1 coupon)
2 bottles Bayer (1 off 1 coupon)
1 bottle Excedrin (2 off 1 coupon)
1 bottle Aleve (2 off 1 coupon)
1 box Tylenol Cold (1 off 1 coupon)
1 box Tylenol Sinus (1 off 1 coupon)
2 bottles One A Day Energy Vitamins (1 2 off and 1 3 off coupon)
2 Loreal lipsticks (2 2 off coupon)
1 Loreal foundation, 1 Loreal blush (2 2 off coupon)
1 Colgate toothpaste (0.75 off coupon)
2 CVS toothbrushes
2 Airwick scented oil refills (1 off 2 coupon)
1 Airwick oil burner (free with refill coupon)
5 Reese Whips bars (2 buy 1 get 1 coupons)
I got extracare bucks on alot of the things. Pepsi is buy 20 and get 10 in ECB all month. It only works once. Tylenol products had the same deal. That is why I got the Viactiv (and I got it at a good discount). Loreal makeup is buy 1 get 1 free. If you have the coupons that makes the lipstick like 4 for 2 tubes. The CVS toothbrushes (with tongue cleaners) are buy 1 (2.49) and get
2.49 in ECB. The real deal is that the second one is half off. All CVS products are buy 1 get 1 1/2 off this month. That is a pretty good deal to start with.

An Introduction

This is my new journal.
I'll warn everyone ahead of time. This is my journal with my thoughts and anyone who doesn't like the way I lead my life, hit the X in the top right corner. I've had problems in the past with having to watch what I say, but here I speak my mind. Just a warning.
I'll be talking about alot of things here. Poitics, religion, diet, exercise, homeschool. Everyone gets to hear about my kids. That is unwavering. I'm a mom.
For all who don't know me. Hi. I'm Amanda. A 27 year old mom of 2. My family is waiting for our 3rd addition this year by way of adoption. I have a wonderful husband otherwise known as DH. I have a 9 year old son and a almost 3 year old daughter. Soon I'll have a almost 3 year old son (he'll be 3 by the time I get to India). I work as a nurse. I homeschool my 9 year old. (He has social skills already, just not many organizational skills.)
This week I'll mostly be starting with some basics. I started Weight Watchers a couple of months ago and am going to talk about it here. I am using the Power 90X workout series. I'm trying to free our finances with the Dave Ramsey system. And finally I'm trying to become somewhat organized (wonder where Anthony gets it?) with the Flylady. All these things I believe are wonderful programs. I'll promote them shamelessly. I'll introduce you to each of them this week.
Now I must go "fix my face" and get the rest of the blog all pretty-fied.
